Workshop “Predicting pancreatic cancer in high-risk individuals and in the general population how long is the road yet?”
A workshop with theoretical and practical training on prediction of pancreatic cancer risk, with special emphasis on two groups: 1) people belonging to high risk categories (e.g., members of families with recurrence of pancreatic cancer, people with chronic pancreatitis) and 2) the general population.

We are pleased the announce that applications are open for the next COST workshop Predicting pancreatic cancer in high-risk individuals and in the general population how long is the road yet?, for early stage researchers, which will be held in Friday June 5th 2026, Pisa, Italy organized by Daniele Campa, University of Pisa.
This is a 1-day workshop with theoretical and practical training on prediction of pancreatic cancer risk, with special emphasis on two groups:
- people with a high-risk for PDAC
- the general population.
The workshop will focus on the pros. and cons. of surveillance/screening in high risk groups, the use of custom panels versus complete exome sequencing and the use of polygenic risk scores in both groups.
